With Beijing’s successful bid for the 2008 Olympic Games, China , a developing country , is drawing world-wide attention day by day . Shanghai is the economic trade and financial center of China, and this city will hold the World Expo in 2010. As a tool for study and communication, a link between China’s friendships with the outside world, English is regarded as a necessary skill and the English course is compulsory to all Chinese students.
The New century Winter Camp, organized by the Education Group of Shanghai International Studies University, has been appreciated by students .As a supplement to classroom teaching, the Winter Camp is designed to develop students’ learning ability, communication ability and innovation ability . We have invited foreign teachers from English-speaking countries to be our spoken-English teachers. We believe their vivid and humorous way of teaching will bring you fresh feeling. At the same time, we have arranged various wonderful activities to let you enjoy the happiness the Winter Camp brings about.
